Many ways lead to Helgoland. The most used way to travel is surely by ship. A fleed of many ships is available to bring you to Helgoland from many different ports in Germany. The amount of time is about 2 hours from destination Cuxhaven for example. Immediately after your arrival begins the debark with the so called "Börtebooten". Another opportunity to get to Helgoland is by plane. Different company offer these quick way to get to the island. About 20 minutes after your departure you will land on the bathing dune. Being there you can get to the main island in about 5 minutes by the dune ferry "Witte Kliff". The same is surely possible if you travel by ship of catamaran. You can choose to let your luggage be brought to your accomodation or to take it there yourself. In this case you can get your cases about 1 hour after your arrival at the company EMT. This ist because the luggage is only brought there after all passengers have left the ship. You will find the company EMT if you turn left at the jetty and walk to the "Hummerbuden". The first one on the right side is the domicil of EMT and there you can get your luggage. If you decide to carry your luggage yourself, you'll find an battery-powered-car from the company EMT to bring the luggage to your residence.
